The State Key Laboratory of Precision Space-time Information Sensing Technology was approved for establishment by the national government on January 18, 2023, and officially founded on March 10, 2023. The laboratory is affiliated with Tsinghua University’s two national first-level key disciplines: Instrument Science and Technology, and Optical Engineering. The laboratory also integrates resources from the Ministry of Education’s Key Laboratory of High-Precision Inertial Instruments and System Technology, the Key Laboratory of Photonic Measurement and Control Technology, and several Key research areas include research teams. Key research areas include: high-precision autonomous space-time information sensing technology, autonomous space-time sensing microsystem technology, laser-based active target spatial information sensing technology, ultra-maneuverable scenario space-time information fusion control technology, and wide-area space-time reference transmission technology. The laboratory conducts multi-level, in-depth, and systematic research, establishing a scientific platform encompassing advanced theoretical frameworks, fundamental research, technological development, and equipment prototyping. It has achieved breakthroughs in multiple critical technologies and enabled significant real-world applications.
