It is one of the missions of our Department to cultivate outstanding creative talents on compound engineering specialty. The graduates are encouraged to foster lofty ambitions and to become the mainstay of society, by receiving professional education combined with the goal of becoming four main kinds of leaders academic masters, industrial leaders, experts of administration, and military pillars. After graduation, the graduates are encouraged to start their careers by joining key academic institutes, key enterprises, key public service departments, or starting their own business related to the mainstream areas of the specialty. The specialty education, career education, and sense of worth education are continuously strengthened during the whole process of the students’undergraduate and postgraduate studies, which are integrated into every detail of various activities.

There are some regularly organized career development activities, such as career consultation lectures, social practice activities, short-term internship, recruitment seminars, specially arranged job fairs, and tours to famous enterprises, by which to provide assistance to students for their career planning and to help them have a better understanding of the background of the specialty. The final gold is that most of the graduates can serve on the positions that the country needs the most.

In recent years, the employment rate of DPI graduates is 100%. Over 90% of the graduates choose to work in academic institutes, key industrial groups, central government enterprises and universities. The professional fit rate of masters is as high as 78%, and 60% of doctors choose academic institutions for employment. These statistics reflect the heavy demands of our country to the graduates of DPI. Many young alumni of DPI have become the backbones in their fields in several years after their graduation.
