The meeting of “80th anniversary series academic report of Department of Precision Instruments & Mechanology” was successfully held at the FIT lecture hall at 14:00 PM in April 28, 2012. During this meeting, appointment ceremony of part-time professor of Lin Zhongxin, who is Academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering, was held successfully.

Wonderful academic reports on the title of “Time and frequency reference of the China Institute of Metrology (NIM): stabilized lasers - Cs fountain clock - Fs optical comb - Sr optical lattice clock”, “Digital process design of complex sheet metal products”, and “Nano-manufacuring” were presented by Li Tianchu, Lin Zhongxin, and Luo Jianbin, respectively.

Dean of the School of Mechanical Engineering, and dean of Department, Professor You Zheng, the party secretary of the Department, Professor Feng PingFa, Chairman of the Academic Committee of the Department, Luo Jianbin, and vice dean of the Department, Professor Meng Yonggang participated in this meeting. This meeting was presided over by Meng Yonggang, who also introduced academic achievements of these three Academicians.

Qiu Yong, who is the vice president of Tsinghua University, issued a letter of appointment of part-time professor to Guo Dongming, accompanies with his representation of thanks and congratulations, on behalf of the school.

Students and faculty for more than 100 people from DPIM attended to the meeting, and obtained an opportunity of face-to-face communication between the Academicians.
