On 10th July, the party committee of Department of Precision Instruments held a special meeting of democratic life on inspection and rectification in 4304, the conference room in the 9003 Building. Members of the group of CCP and government administration as well as the party committee members both attended the meeting. The meeting was chaired by Liu Qiang, secretary of the party committee of DPI, and the vice president of Tsinghua University, You Zheng, also attended this democratic life meeting.

The participants first watched the special report videos on the overall feedback of the 12th round inspections conducted by the 18th Central Committee, issues list presented by those inspect university party committees and inspection situations of party committees of 31 centrally-administrated universities. In the light of the spirit of the speech given by Zhao Leji in the special inspection feedback meeting of Tsinghua University, the feedback of Central Committee’s special inspection and the rectification scheme made by Tsinghua University’s party committee, Liu Qiang notified all the participants the concrete contents of 《Work program for rectification and implementation on special inspection feedback by Department of Precision Instruments》,《Detailed list of rectification work by Department of Precision Instrument》and 《Self-examination and correction report on ideological work responsibility system by Department of Precision Instruments》, which are made by the party committee of DPI. He also put forward the improvement measures and indicated the working direction for DPI in the future.

After listening to the self-examinations given by the members of the department council, You Zheng pointed out that the democratic life meeting is in strict accordance with the rectification requirements of the school, putting forward a rectification list corresponding with the actual situation of DPI. He hoped each participant to complete the rectification task by high quality on time. Then, he had a communication with the council members about establishing the concept of teaching and educating people, the teaching training system, the scientific research and some relevant questions about young teachers.

Finally, the participants spoke successively, mainly focused on the cognizance and experience after learning the spirit of the important speech made by general secretary Xi Jinping about the inspection work. Meantime, according to their own area of responsibility and combined with the feedback of the special inspection and the work program for rectification and the list of rectification work made by DPI, the participants made profound self-examinations and self-criticisms and proposed corresponding rectification measures.
