DPI Committee of the CPC held an enlarged meeting to arrange work in the new semester

Department of Precision Instrument (DPI) Committee of the Chinese Communist Party (CPC) held an enlarged meeting on March 8th to implement delegate election for the 12th CPC congress in Beijing, arrange Party branch topical meetings, and carry out democratic appraisal of Party branch secretaries and Party members. The meeting was presided over by Prof. Liu Qiang, the secretary of DPI Committee of the CPC.

Prof. Liu elaborated on the importance of delegate election for the 12th CPC congress in Beijing. He requested all Party branches to implement the election seriously, insure the progressiveness and universality of the delegates and promote democracy in the Party. Six delegates elected according to the electoral procedure were confirmed on the meeting. Prof. Liu also arranged work on democratic appraisal of Party branch secretaries and Party members, and arranged Party branch topical meetings, which were supposed to be focused on studying the spirit of the 6th Plenary Session of the 18th CPC Central Committee and on studying the theoretical and practical issues of Party building.

Attendees of the meeting then studied the content of two official documents, the Tsinghua University Committee of the CPC’s Notification of studying and implementing spirit of the conference on ideological and political work in nationwide colleges and universities, and the Stipulation on Party branch affairs of faculties and staffs in Tsinghua University. Secretaries of Party branches discussed on topics about election affairs, work plan in the near future, and also maintenance and repair of the department’s building.

Attendees of the meeting included members of DPI Committee of the CPC, and secretaries of Party branches of faculties and staffs in DPI.
