Tsinghua SPPM will invite Dr. Ying YANG from School of Behavioral and Health Sciences, Australian Catholic University (ACU) to deliver an online lecture on Positive Mindset and Resilient Leadership on June 8th (Wednesday). Save the date and welcome to register!

Dr. Ying YANG is currently a lecturer in psychology from School of Behavioral and Health Sciences, Australian Catholic University (ACU). She received her Bachelor’s degree from Renmin University of China and Ph.D degree from Beijing Normal University. Her research is focused on culture, emotion, wellbeing, and behavioral decision. She has great interest and passion in understanding how people from different cultures perceive, think, and behave. She is an awardee of the prestigious Australian Government Endeavour Research Fellowship in 2016, and earned ACU Research Award for Women Academic in 2020. Her studies were published in leading journals, such as Journal of Cross-Cultural Psychology, Personality and Individual Differences, Knowledge-based Systems, Transportation Research.

It has been very stressful and challenging for many of us since the pandemic. How to manage our stress, and keep positive and resilient? Dr. Ying YANG will give a talk on stress and emotion regulation from both individual and organizational level.

As an individual, learning to cope with stress in a healthy way will help you keep in a positive mood and become more resilient. As a leader in the organization, quickly and accurately recognizing emotions in a group will develop the efficiency and coherence of it. In this lecture, Dr. Ying YANG will introduce multiple ways of regulating our emotions and promote positive atmosphere in an organization. Group discussions will be organized as well.
