The 1st International Water Conference for Young Scholars

Water has become the restricting resource for the development of human society due to the enlarging gap between the increasing water demands of a growing population and the limited water resources. A safe and stable water system is the foundation of both public health and economic development.

However, many challenges are emerging in the field of water science, such as novel technology development, risk assessment, system planning and design, and integrated management strategies and policies. How to restore water resources and exploit alternatives? How to sustainably utilize water? How to couple the human society into the water cycle? The science of water requires further and broader exploration.

The International Water Conference for Young Scholars (YouthWater) is hosted by the Committee of Water Treatment and Reuse, Chinese Society for Environmental Sciences. The conference aims to provide a platform for graduate students to present their unique work and innovative research ideas, and discuss with worldwide peer young scholars devoting their research interests to any aspect of water science and engineering.

The 1st YouthWater will be held online on June 1st and 2nd (Beijing Time), 2022. The conference will focus on the current research status and the future aspects of water sciences locally and globally, under the theme of “Water Science for a Sustainable and Harmonious Future”.
