​Tsinghua University excels at 49th International Exhibition of Inventions Geneva

Tsinghua University teams won three Outstanding Invention Awards at the 49th International Exhibition of Inventions Geneva, ranking first at the prestigious event.

Associate Professor Lin Lin's team from the Institute of Environment and Ecology, at Tsinghua Shenzhen International Graduate School, won the Prize of the City of Geneva, the Outstanding Invention Award and the Gold with Congratulations of the Jury for its project Novel Technology of Phosphorus Recovery from Municipal Wastewater Aimingat Iron Phosphate for Battery Use.

Professor Chen Qixin's team from Tsinghua's Department of Electrical Engineering won the Prize of the Saudi Arabian Delegation, the Outstanding Invention Award and the Gold with Congratulations of the Jury for its project Edge Control Devices and Aggregation Platform for Urban-Level Virtual Power Plant.

Associate Professor Ma Tianyu's team from Tsinghua's Department of Engineering Physics won the Prize of the Saudi Arabian Delegation, the Outstanding Invention Award, and the Gold Medal for its project Intraoperative Handheld Medical Gamma Camera Based on Self-collimating Technology.

Over 1,000 inventions were on show in this year’s event, primarily from the medical, paramedic care, artificial intelligence and environmental sectors.
