Tsinghua University was filled with excitement on August 17 as a new cohort of students arrived on campus to register themselves, and to formally embark on an exciting new journey with Tsinghua towards excellence.

To make the new arrivals feel welcome and help them with their transition, Tsinghua student volunteers helped them through the registration and moving-in processes, and many student associations and groups hosted a range of welcome activities, including a musical performance by senior students of the Tsinghua Student Art Troupe.

The youthful faces of the new students were all smiles as they walked through a group of cute mascots standing along their way on a campus adorned with colorful banners with welcome messages.

Tsinghua will hold an opening ceremony on August 18 to officially welcome its new cohort of undergraduate students. The event will be broadcast live via "Rain Classroom" in both English and Chinese.
