Although Wen Yiduo's name lived in history as a poet, a scholar, and a martyr to the cause of national liberation and democratic movement, he also left a large number of artistic works. Art not only created Wen Yiduo's great character but also exercised an invisible, formative influence on his children, who are versatile and excellent both in scholarship and behaviour. In particular, the third son Wen Lipeng, influenced by his father, was attracted to literature and art since childhood. Wen Lipeng is the direct successor of Wen Yiduo's artistic viewpoints and personality, and an extraordinary representative of the first generation of oil painters in New China. This exhibition is to demonstrate the artistic talents of the father and son, we also hope that, in addition to appreciating the works, the audience can reflect on their aesthetic value, perceive the charm of their character, and understand and remember from a new perspective the generation of scholars represented by Mr. Wen Yiduo, as well as their unremitting efforts for the Chinese social advance and national spirit.
