Since 2009, China has been Brazil's largest trading partner and largest importer, and it is now the 12th year of the partnership. By 2020, Brazil will be the first Latin American country to trade with China for more than 100 billion US dollars.

The Amazon River owns the largest volume in the world, with a flow of 219,000 cubic meters per second, which is several times larger than the sum of the other three great rivers, namely, the Nile (Africa), the Yangtze River (China), and the Mississippi River (the United States). It is equivalent to the flow of seven Yangtze rivers, accounting for 20% of the world's river flow.

Brazil is the largest coffee producer in the world. Brazil has a wide planting area and rich varieties of coffee.

Brazil, as well as China, is a member of the BRICS. BRICS refers to Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa, all of which play an extremely important role in the world's emerging markets.

The Main Speaker
Ambassador Paulo Estivallet de Mesquita

Ambassador Paulo Estivallet de Mesquita is Ambassador of the Federative Republic of Brazil to the People's Republic of China, since 2018. He has served at the Embassies of Brazil in Rome and Santiago, and he was the Deputy Permanent Representative of Brazil to the WTO and other international organizations in Geneva. In Brasilia, he served as an Advisor to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Director of the Economic Department and Undersecretary General for Latin America and the Caribbean.

As a gentleman of profound insight into the political relations between Brazil and China, we believe that communication with the ambassador is the best chance for you to learn more about the particular topic.
