An art and culture festival for post-graduates was recently held at Tsinghua University.

The festival was designed to improve students' artistic flair, according to the Postgraduate Committee of Tsinghua, the festival organizer.

Tsinghua students, as well as China Conservatory of Music students, sang and danced at the opening ceremony.

The three-week gala event commemorated the "December 9 Movement," the day in 1935 of a patriotic student campaign against Japanese aggression.
