Universities Cooperate for Learning

Elite universities of China and Singapore will launch postgraduate and faculty exchange programs to enhance the two countries' cooperation in the information and communication fields, according to Saturday's China Daily.

Elite universities of China and Singapore will launch postgraduate and faculty exchange programs to enhance the two countries' cooperation in the information and communication fields, according to Saturday's China Daily.

Under the auspices of the Infocomm Development Authority (IDA) of Singapore, the computer school of the National University of Singapore (NUS) and the computer schools and departments of 10 Chinese universities, including Tsinghua, Peking, Fudan, Zhejiang and Nanjing universities, recently signed a memorandum of understanding on academic and faculty exchanges.

"The cooperation between the two parties will not only improve the academic research of the schools, but also provide more opportunities for students to further develop their vocational skills by participating in international cooperative projects, China Daily quoted Li Xiaoming, director of the Department of Computer Science and Technology of Peking University as saying.
