Tsinghua University Mountaineering Team has just returned from Tibet after completing its summer expedition to overcome Ningjinkangsha Mountain.
The team, made up of 12 male and three female students, set off on July 2 and started climbing on July 7. The climbing was stopped by deteriorating weather and snow slides but the team managed to reach the peak of 6,740 metres.
Tsinghua University Mountaineering Team is one of the first climbing team in China's universities. Its members are mostly from the university and it organizes such mountaineering annually in summer. The expedition was updated on www.cctv.com/geography and video records by journalists from China Central Television will be broadcast later.
