The first nationwide fund management training programme closed at Tsinghua University on Sunday. Entitled "Fund Management in Globalization," the programme was launched by Frederick Hu, director of Tsinghua University's China Economic Research Centre and managing director of Goldman Sachs Asia. A total of 56 senior fund managers from across the country participated in the 15-day training programme. Professors and experts from Tsinghua, Yale University, and the China Securities Regulatory Commission gave lectures which focused on how to cope with the opening-up of Chinese fund market and how to deal with foreign competition.
