China's prestigious Tsinghua University has launched a park for returned overseas Chinese students to start up high-tech businesses. The park is co-sponsored by officials of the Zhongguancun Scientific and Technological Zone. Located in the core area of the zone, the park covers 40,000 square meters and will set up a 200-million-yuan fund for enterprises. Enterprises located in the park will enjoy services such as financing, accommodation and property management, and can also get help in faster registration, lower fees, financial aid and loan guarantees. So far returned students have established more than 1,500 enterprises in Zhongguancun, six times more than in 1999.They account for one tenth of the total new and hi-tech enterprises in Zhongguancun.
