Bears traumatized by acid attack

The five bears at Beijing Zoo that were injured when a Tsinghua University student flung acid at them last February have shown no interest in mating. The bears had been mating normally before the attack occurred, said their keeper.

They had largely recovered from their physical injuries since last August, reports Changjiang Daily.

Liu Haiyang, an engineering student, threw acid at bears to test the animals' agility, which infuriated the public.
