The University of Otago further strengthened its links with top universities in China this week, signing an agreement to work with Tsinghua University in Beijing.
Pro Vice Chancellor, International, Professor Sarah Todd says The Memorandum of Understanding and Student Exchange Agreement with Tsinghua is a formal acknowledgement of collaboration which is already occurring between the two.
The signing is the result of a relationship that has developed since Vice-Chancellor Professor David Skegg visited a delegation with Tsinghua in China in 2007.
As well as allowing research collaboration, the Student Exchange Agreement will allow undergraduate students at Otago to spend a semester in Beijing.
