Professor CHEN Xiao and Professor XUE Jian from Department of Accounting Won the 2nd Sun Yefang Financial Innovation Paper Award

On July 3, 2016, the winners’ list of the 2nd Sun Yefang Financial Innovation Paper Award was announced. Professor CHEN Xiao and Professor XUE Jian, Department of Accounting at Tsinghua University School of Economics and Management (Tsinghua SEM), won this award for their joint paper "The Sensitivity of Corporate Cash Holdings to Corporate Governance", which was published on The Review of Financial Studies in September 2012.  Tsinghua SEM doctoral student in Finance LIU Zehao was also on the winners’ list for his joint paper "The Financial Stratification of Chinese Goods and the Driving Mechanism of Inflation", which was published on Economics Research in January 2014.

To promote China-related research in financial economics, the Sun Yefang Economic Science Foundation (SYESF) established the Sun Yefang Financial Innovation Award (SYFIA) in 2013. The award focuses on identifying excellent and innovative works that keep abreast of the times and steer academic development, and contribute to the prosperity and development of the financial discipline in China. The SYFIA, based on the principles of openness and fairness, is awarded every two years.

Professor YANG Zhishu and Professor WANG Hao from Tsinghua SEM won the 1st Sun Yefang Financial Innovation Paper Award in 2015.
