Tsinghua International Students Gala Night 2016
On December 17th, the 2016 Tsinghua International Student’s New Year’s Gala was held at the auditorium.

In the last month of 2015, the staffs of AICE worked even harder than Santa’s little elves. They held auditions for performances, created posters and sent out emails as well as coordinated closely with the performers, only for the triumph of the day of the gala.
Staffs, MCs and performers all arrived by 8am for the final two rounds of rehearsal, and it would be an understatement to say their hard work paid off, because they put on an remarkable show!
The evening started with an opening remark delivered by the Vice President and Provost Yang Bin. He emphasized the value of studying in China not only because of its economic power and growing international influence, but also because the valuable friends students will make in China.

"Everything in China now is changing very rapidly, but the friendships you make with students, faculty, and the local Chinese, will be eternal," Yang Bin said.
The New Year’s Gala had students from countries all over the world that demonstrated spectacular talents for the students and teachers who attended.

The International Student’s New Year’s Gala is the biggest annual event for the international students community on campus. For years, it has been recognized as the most anticipated night of the year, drawing the international community closer together. It was truly a night for many to remember, and celebrate the many friendships that were forged at Tsinghua.
The event was co-organized by the International Students Office (ISO) and Association of International Cultural Exchange (AICE).
