Five Tsinghua students who participated in the Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd. (MHI) internship program experienced a 9.0-magnitude earthquake in Japan on March 11. They worked vigorously to help the earthquake and tsunami victims, donating money and writing letters of encouragement. Mr. Sunao Aoki, Senior Executive Vice President and Member of the Board of MHI, sent a letter to Tsinghua University in which he expressed his gratitude to the students. From March 14 to 16, a donation campaign was held at Tsinghua University for both China's Yunnan and Japan's earthquake victims and relief efforts.
