The Chinese New Year Party for students who had not traveled away between the two semesters was held in Tingtao Dining Hall on February 2nd. Almost 300 residential students gathered to have a Chinese New Year's Eve dinner and celebrate this most eventful of all Chinese festivals. Tsinghua University Council Chairman Hu Heping delivered a warm speech and extended his best wishes to all of the guests.

Nearly 60 foreign students took part in this colorful event. Many of them performed African dancing and singing which impressed all of the students and other guests.
