A conceptual demo system named NODAM (Networked-Observation and Mobile-agent-based scene Abstraction and Determination) was awarded the Best Demo prize at the 8th annual ACM Conference on Embedded Networked Sensor Systems (SenSys) in Zurich, Switzerland between November 3 and 5. The NOMAD demo was chosen from more than 30 selected demos from universities and companies around the world. Members of the technical program committee as well as the conference attendees voted.
The NOMAD system is an enhancement to current video systems. By taking advantage of mobile agents and networked observation, it provides rich and comprehensive information of the physical world and reconstructs them in cyberspace.
