"The Frontier Science Workshop on Condensed Matter Physics and Nanoscience" opened on the Hongo campus of the University of Tokyo on May 13. The workshop is part of the Tsinghua Week at Todai.

The workshop has mainly four sessions, covering a wide range of topics in the frontiers of condensed matter physics and nanoscience. Ten faculty members from the two universities delivered speeches at the workshop.

The participants also exchanged ideas on promoting further cooperation in physics between the University of Tokyo and Tsinghua.
