Dr. Gene Block, Chancellor of the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), visited Tsinghua University on January 26. Tsinghua University Council Chairman Hu Heping had a discussion with him. Tsinghua Vice President Yuan Si also participated in the discussion. They exchanged ideas on promoting further collaboration in research as well as on faculty and student exchange.

Dr. Block visited the Department of Physics, the School of Medicine, and the Tsinghua-Foxconn Nanotechnology Research Center.
