Professor Li Yanmei from the Department of Chemistry and Professor Sun Hongbin from the Department of Electrical Engineering were named recently as 'Renowned Teachers of the Nation' by the Ministry of Education.

A total of thirteen Tsinghua teachers have been selected as Renowned Teachers of the Nation since the award  was initiated by the Ministry of Education in 2003. It was the fifth time the awards were made.
