Vice-Chancellor Shirley Pearce awarded Tsinghua University President Gu Binglin a Loughborough University Honorary Doctorate on August 30 at a graduation ceremony held in Beijing to mark Loughborough’s centennial.

In accepting the doctorate, President Gu congratulated Loughborough on its centennial and expressed the hope that the two universities could build more collaborative partnerships in the coming years.

British Embassy to China Chargé d'Affaires Mr. Chris Wood, Loughborough University staff, and Loughbrough Chinese graduates also participated in the event.
