Tsinghua University and The Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) signed a Memorandum of Understanding on May 13 during a visit to campus by PNNL Director Dr. Mike Kluse and PNNL Associate Director Dr. Douglas Ray.
Tsinghua Vice President Xie Weihe had a discussion with Dr. Kluse and Dr. Ray prior to the signing ceremony. Tsinghua University’s Vice Chairperson and the Director of the Tsinghua Low Carbon Energy Laboratory He Jiankun also participated in the discussion. The two sides expressed the hope that more collaboration could be built between Tsinghua and PNNL in the future, especially faculty and student exchanges.
PNNL is one of the most prestigious research institutions in the US. It is world- renowned for its pioneering research activities. Their research strength in fundamental molecular science, catalysis, and computer science is particularly well known.
