The University of Chicago President Dr. Robert Zimmer met with Tsinghua University President Gu Binglin and Tsinghua University Council Chairman Hu Heping during his visit on April 24th.

President Gu outlined the recent developments in energy research at Tsinghua during the talk. The two sides expressed the hope that more cooperation could be built in the future between Chicago and Tsinghua.

Dr. Zimmer received his Ph.D. from Harvard University and became the University of Chicago President in 2006. He had visited Tsinghua previously in 2007.

Founded in 1890, the University of Chicago is one of the best known private universities in the U.S. .
