Cambridge University Vice-Chancellor Alison Richard visited Tsinghua University on March 26. She discussed education issues with Tsinghua University President Gu Binglin. Tsinghua Vice President Xie Weihe also participated in the discussion.
During their talk, President Gu and Professor Richard discussed enhancing Tsinghua and Cambridge University cooperative programs in low carbon energy and student exchanges. They also explored the possibilities for future art exchange activities between Tshinghua and Cambridge University’s Fitzwilliam Museum and the “Understanding China” summer camp.
The Fitzwilliam Museum’s Director Dr. Timothy Potts later visited Tsinghua’s Academy of Arts and Design to discuss future cooperative efforts with the faculty.
Professor Richard became Vice Chancellor of Cambridge University in 2003. Founded in 1209, Cambridge is one of the world’s top universities.
