Tsinghua students had a chance for a talk with Tsinghua University President Gu Binglin on the evening of December 5th at the “Face to Face Talk with the President” activity in the Reporting Hall of Tsinghua’s School of Economics and Management.
The “Face to Face Talk with the President” series, organized by the Tsinghua Student Union, provides a platform for Tsinghua’s senior administrators and students to communicate directly and exchange ideas. The format includes three parts, including an interview, Q&A, and a gift presentation.
President Gu shared his own learning experiences, his reflections on life with the students. He then introduced the educational ideas and development plans for Tsinghua University in the future. From the students, he learned about their recent studies and their lives at Tsinghua. He also listened to their suggestions for Tsinghua’s future development. He encouraged the students to find out their real interests for future development, lay a solid foundation of knowledge, widen their horizons, and develop themselves as talents for the nation’s development.
"I think President Gu is very kind and easy to approach. I am looking forward to talk more with him," said one Tsinghua graduate student.
