Professor John Holdren of Harvard’s John F. Kennedy School of Government delivered a speech entitled “Meeting the Climate-Change Challenge: What Do We Know? What Should We Do?” to the Tsinghua Forum on May 26. Professor Holdren was appointed a Tsinghua Guest Professor at a conferral ceremony held earlier that day. Tsinghua Vice President Xie Weihe attended the conferral ceremony and presented the honorary appointment book to Professor Holdren.

Professor Holdren got his bachelors and masters degrees from MIT and his Ph.D. from Stanford University. He conducted research at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory and worked at the University of California, Berkeley. He joined Harvard’s John F. Kennedy School of Government in 1996.
