Tsinghua teachers and students are donating money for relief efforts and aid to the area which has been so badly devastated by the recent earthquake in southwest China.

Donation boxes were set up on the morning of May 14 in front of the major dining halls at Tsinghua. Many students joined the donation drive to support relief efforts in the area and provide aid to the victims. Tsinghua President Gu Binglin and University Council Chairman Chen Xi joined the teachers and staff in the afternoon to make contributions.
