Professor Alexander Tzonis, distinguished scholar of Architectural Theory and Director of Design Knowledge Systems Research Institute at Delft University of Technology, was appointed Guest Professor of Tsinghua on September 10.

Tsinghua Vice President Xie Weihe attended the conferral ceremony and presented the honorary appointment book to Professor Tzonis.

“Professor Tzonis has a long-term friendship with Tsinghua University,” said Vice President Xie. “The appointment will further enhance the connection between Tsinghua and TU Delft in our joint endeavor in fostering the best architectural science in the world.”

Professor Tzonis later delivered a speech entitled “The Architecture of the Third Ecology.”
