Chinese competitors took victory at the 14th International Information Science Olympics. The three gold medallists and one silver medal winner returned home on Sunday night.

Like the Math Olympics, the Information Science Olympics is an annual event. It's the highest－level information science contest for middle school students in the world. This time, 280 representatives of 78 countries and regions took the challenge. On the Chinese team, Hou Qiming is the only one still in high school. The other three have already enrolled in the Information Institute of Tsinghua University where Hou will join them next year without having to sit for the college entrance examinations.
