The winners of the 2025 State Science and Technology Awards were announced in Beijing on July 8 at a meeting that brought together the National Science and Technology Award Conference, the General Assemblies of the Members of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Chinese Academy of Engineering, and the 11th National Congress of the China Association for Science and Technology. A total of 258 projects and 11 scientists were honored for scientific and technological achievements.

Tsinghua University received 19 State Science and Technology Awards, including two State Natural Science Awards, four State Technological Invention Awards, and 13 State Scientific and Technological Progress Awards. Seven of these awards were conferred on projects where Tsinghua faculty served as the lead principal contributors, or Tsinghua University acted as the lead institution.
