The "Tsinghua – ICCAS International Symposium on Supramolecular Chemistry Frontiers" was held in Tsinghua from May 3 to 5.

Renowned scholars in the field of supramolecular chemistry across the world attended the symposium and delivered academic lectures.

Plenary speakers included Prof. Makoto Fujita from the University of Tokyo, Prof. Xi Zhang from Tsinghua University, Prof. Eric V. Anslyn from the University of Texas at Austin, Prof. Frank Würthner from Universitӓt Würzburg, Prof. Tomoki Ogoshi from Kyoto University, Prof. Minghua Liu from Institute of Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Prof. Guosong Chen from Fudan University, Prof. Joost N. H. Reek from the University of Amsterdam, Prof. Bruce C. Gibb from Tulane University, Prof. Jishan Wu from the National University of Singapore, Prof. Zhan-Ting Li from Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Prof. Stefan Matile from the University of Geneva, and Prof. Li-Zhu Wu from Technical Institute of Physics and Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences.

Academic lectures covered a broad range of cutting-edge areas of supramolecular chemistry, such as the synthesis and structure of novel functional macrocyclic host compounds, molecular recognition and self-assembly, supramolecular catalysis, and supramolecular polymers.

The symposium also featured poster presentations by twenty students and postdoctoral fellows.

The lectures sparked lively discussion among domestic and international scholars, faculty members, and students, leading to in-depth exchange on the state of art and futural development of supramolecular chemistry.

This symposium provided a valuable platform for international academic exchange and cooperation in the field of supramolecular chemistry, facilitating communication between faculty, students, and peers both domestically and internationally.

Over 100 faculty members and students from different institutions such as Institute of Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Capital Normal University, and Tsinghua University attended the symposium. 

The symposium was supported and funded by the Key Laboratory of Bioorganic Phosphorous & Chemical Biology of the Ministry of Education, Key Laboratory of Molecular Recognition and Function, Institute of Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing National Laboratory for Molecular Sciences, and Committee of Supramolecular Chemistry, Chinese Chemical Society.
