​Chinese Institute of Electronics awards Tsinghua projects

A record high number of eighteen projects led or joined by Tsinghua University were awarded by the Chinese Institute of Electronics, a top engineering and academic organization in China. Tsinghua has won 5 awards of the first class, 2 awards of the second class, and 3 awards of third class in the first unit of the project teams.

The awards aim to reward individuals and groups that have made outstanding contributions to scientific research, technological development and the innovation, promotion and application of scientific and technological achievements, as well as to industrialization in the field of electronic information, mobilizing enthusiasm and creativity of scientific and technological workers, and promoting the development of China's electronic information science and technology and industry. The awards honor both achievements and innovative teams. Awards for achievements, with classes ranging from first to third, cover natural sciences, technological inventions and scientific and technological progress. Awards for innovative teams are not graded, and no more than three teams are awarded each year.
