Tsinghua volunteer applicants interviewed for the 2022 Winter Olympics

The International Relations Department of the Beijing Organizing Committee for the 2022 Olympic Games recently launched a special interview for volunteers at Tsinghua University.

Wan Xuejun, Deputy Director of the International Relations Department, and heads of the language services office, the protocol office, the International Olympic Committee and the International Paralympic Committee liaison office, as well as representatives of the organizing committee’s volunteer department met at Tsinghua. Yang Bin, Vice-President of Tsinghua, attended the meeting.

After registration and preliminary screening, a total of 252 Tsinghua volunteer applicants from 20 schools participated in the interview. The volunteers selected for the interview included language service volunteers, protocol volunteers and Olympic family assistant volunteers.

The interview was conducted in both Chinese and English. The judges inspected the students’ English proficiency, adaptability, service awareness, understanding of the Winter Olympics and Olympic spirit, volunteer service experience and hard-working spirit.
