Time: Thursday, September 5th 2019, 19:00-21:00
Location: Huawei Hall, Career Development Center, Tsinghua University

In the 19th iTalk of Tsinghua University, three speakers shared their ideas around the topic of “Embrace Possibilities”.

Nathan Diwa
Master of Business Administration, School of Economics and Management of Tsinghua University

How to achieve your dream? Different people may have different answers, but almost every successful model will tell you not to give up and good things will happen on their own. That is what Nathan Diwa wants to share with you: always have good expectations. Having been involved in entrepreneurship work on Sino-African business, he encountered many obstacles in his life. Being persistent and hardworking is always the key to victory. On the other hand, learning how to show respect is also an important asset in life, not only respecting others, but also respecting yourself, your uniqueness. That is particularly crucial at Tsinghua University, where the brightest talents around the world gather and meet.

Master of Global Affairs at Schwarzman College, Tsinghua University

In face of uncertainty, chaos, gender and income inequality, religious strife, political instability, and climate change, what can we do to ensure a more stable, fair, prosperous, and harmonious world? What can we do as leaders and global citizens to maintain the healthiest and most sustainable aspects of our collective dynamic possibilities? Abiha argues that the need to answer these questions could not be more desperate in this current period, and embracing the challenges may be a possible answer.

Johnson Liu
Bachelor of Government and History, College of William and Mary

Standing from the perspective of a Chinese overseas returnee, Johnson analyzes his journey of cultural integration and personal development. It is a tale of becoming humbler and more disciplined, and more resolute in one’s vision. Johnson would like to share his passion as a young entrepreneur who aspires to help others, through the lens of inner conflicts and outside inspiration.

All students are welcome to join the iTalk for a chat with excellent speakers and obtain unique experience for your common questions. Many special gifts and souvenirs are also prepared for some of the lucky ones among you.
