Philip Wood is one of the top experts in the field of global comparative law and cross-border law, is also a very famous presenter, author of the well-known writings, as well as top legal practitioners. He has been awarded honorary royal title of Queen’s Counsel by the Queen of England. He has written about 18 books, including a set of nine books of “international financial law and practice" published in 2007. The International Finance course textbook has been translated into Chinese which is a compilation of his lectures at the University of Oxford 's University. He served as the person in charge of the banking department of Allen & Overy for more than 10 years. He served as the director of the sovereign bankruptcies research group under the International Law Association, and served as member of the Market Monitoring Committee of the Institute of International Finance. One of the tasks is he recently served as the consultant of the Steering Committee of the bondholders in the bankruptcy of the Greek government affairs.
