You have heard of all these vibrant names from the history of Western art, but you probably have not had a chance to see their amazing works. At Tsinghua University you will have the once in a lifetime opportunity to see this magnificent exhibition. It will be held from 23rd October until 23rd December, 2018 at the 1st Floor Exhibition Hall of Tsinghua University Art Museum.

This is a special exhibition of Tsinghua University Art Museum in 2018. After detailed planning and cooperation of all parties, the 60 selected exhibits are divided into five categories, showing the development of Wester art from Renaissance, Baroque, Rococo, and Classicism, to Neoclassicism and Romanticism, Realism, Impressionism and Post-Impressionism, subsequently the current trend of modernism and post modernism.

This exhibition not only interprets the 500-year genre of Western paintings, depicting the wave of Western art movement and the evolution of style, but also acts as short tour of Western modern and contemporary art history.
