Flue gas desulfurization in coal combustion;

Removal of NOx in flue gas via SCR, SNCR, and other technologies;

Speciation and partition of Hg in combustion products;

Development of catalyst for NOx reduction and oxidation;

Development of catalyst for Hg oxidation;

Development of sorbent for the capture of Hg and other trace elements;

Application of emission control byproducts, including FGD gypsum and ash;

Principal Investigator for 2 research programs of National ‘863’ Project, 2 research programs of National Natural Science Foundation, 7 international collaboration programs, and 5 industrial collaboration research programs.
