Professor Jia Bingbing is reappointed as the member of International Law Advisory Committee, Ministry of Foreign Affairs

On March 1, 2017, the 7th plenary meeting of International Law Advisory Committee of Ministry of Foreign Affairs was held in Beijing. Xu Hong, Director-General of the Department of Treaty and Law of Ministry of Foreign Affairs, presided at the meeting. Liu Zhenmin, vice Minister of Foreign Affairs, made a speech, expressing great appreciation for all the works done by the first Committee and presented the letter of appointment to the members of the Second Committee. Professor Jia Bingbing from Tsinghua Law School is reappointed as a member of the Second International Law Advisory Committee of Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The International Law Advisory Committee of Ministry of Foreign Affairs, founded two years ago, has gained great achievements during the two years. It has been a bridge between International Law practice and theory and a leading think tank on foreign policy. In 2017, China will further create a new dimension in foreign affairs with the great-power diplomacy of Chinese characteristics. The second committee begins around this time.

Professor Jia Bingbing is a full-time professor of International Law at Tsinghua Law School. His academic interests lie in General International Law, International Humanitarian Law and International Criminal Law.
