The 3rd Tsinghua University-Hong Kong University-Toronto Univerisity Law Faculty’s seminar held in Hong Kong

The 3rd Tsinghua University-Hong Kong University-Toronto University Law Schools seminar was held from November 11 to 12, 2016. The topic was “Different Perspectives of Public Law Research.” More than 20 scholars from Tsinghua University、Hong Kong University、Toronto University and Cambridge University participated in the meeting.

Professor Shen Weixing, Dean of the Tsinghua Law School, Professor He Yaoming, Dean of the Hong Kong University Faculty of Law, Professor Edward Iacobucci, Dean of the Toronto University Faculty of Law delivered speeches at the meeting. Professor Shen Weixing noted that it is a very important form of cooperation for the three law faculties to continue holding the seminar annually. The bond developed by deceased Professor Betty Ho will be maintained by the communication among the three schools. Professor He Yaoming and Professor Iacobucci expressed profound respect for Professor Betty Ho, and great support for the spirit of cooperation among the three schools.

Professor Ian Li, former Deputy-Dean of the Toronto Faculty of Law, proposed to strengthen the communication and cooperation by holding seminars in the memory of deceased Prof. Ho, who taught at these three schools. The seminar was hosted by the Hong Kong University Faculty of Law and co-organized by Tsinghua Law School and Toronto Faculty of Law.
