Tsinghua University School of Law Faculty Openings

Tsinghua University School of Law is a world-class law school and a community of leading legal scholars, teachers, students, and alumni dedicated to providing and promoting one of the finest legal educations in the world.

The law school is pleased to announce the creation of the Cheng Yu Tung Professorship in Law. The newly created professorship is one of several named professorships generously funded by the Chow Tai Fook Charity Foundation. International and domestic candidates are welcome and encouraged to apply.


        • Outstanding leader and practitioner in chosen field of law

        • Dedicated to continued excellence in teaching and academic research

        • Distinguished academic record, reflected by publications with leading international publishers; grants, awards and presentations; and professional and academic leadership roles

        • Be able to demonstrate professional and academic proficiency in at least two languages

Characteristic Duties and Responsibilities

        • Design, plan, and implement innovative course offerings and cutting-edge or inter-disciplinary research agendas within field of research

        • Actively organize various academic activities within field of research

        • Host at least one high-level international conference each year

        • Teach no fewer than 96 hours of undergraduate and graduate law courses

        • Publish at least 2 articles in field of research in an internationally recognized law journal

Employment Terms

        • 3-year, full-time employment contract with Tsinghua University

        • Compensation, including housing, will conform to international standards for law school faculty and will be commensurate with hired applicant’s experience
