Education background

She got her bachelor, master and PhD degrees from Tsinghua University from 1992-2002. 

Experience

Jing WU, Ph.D., associate professor of Department of Environmental Science & Engineering, Tsinghua University, Beijing, P.R. China. She worked as postdoctoral researcher in 2003-2004 and guest professor in 2009 in Chemical Engineering Laboratory, CNRS-ENSIC-INPL, France . Her research interests are treatment of wastewater, especially in anaerobic process and high rate anaerobic reactors as well as  water quality monitoring. She was principal investigator of some national and international research projects and designed 3 full-scale wastewater treatment plants. She published over 20 papers in international and Chinese journals and conferences and had 4 patents.

l Hydrodynamics properties of sludge and its interactions with hydrodynamic shear force in biological reactors, International cooperation project of Ministry of Science and Technology of P. R. China (PRA) (2007-2008)

l Fluorescent fingerprint of wastewater, key project of research on science and technology of Ministry of Education of P.R.China (2007-2009)

l Treatment of pharmaceutical wastewater (penicillin) (2007-2009)

l Methane production, utilization and emission of Chinese wastewater treatment plants, funded by Blue Moon Fund, U.S.A. (2005-2006)

l Quantitative study of hydrodynamic shear force of upflow biological reactor, funded by National Natural Science Foundation of China (2004-2006)

l Simulation of Mechanism and Operating Characteristics of Internal Circulation in Anaerobic Reactor. (1997-2001)

l Designing and operation of full-scale industrial wastewater (distillery, brewery, citric acid, hospital and chain wastewater) treatment plants. The treatment capacity of the plants was 600-10000 ton /d. (1997-2005)
