Division of Air Pollution Control

Division of Air Pollution Control (DAPC) aims at both international frontier and national targeted problems to develop new technologies and theories for air pollution control, and dedicates its whole effort to improve urban, regional and global air quality. We conduct high-quality environmental education and research on formation and emission profiles of air pollutants, on-site monitoring, atmospheric transport and physic-chemical process, air quality simulation, air pollution control technologies, and control strategies and policies.

There are 14 faculty members in DAPC, including 2 academicians of Chinese Academy of Engineering, 6 professors, 5 associate professors, 1 assistant professors, 8 post-doctors, and around 50 graduate students. We offer 3 undergraduate courses and 5 graduate courses. We were honored with many awards such as Cheung Kong Scholars Program of the Ministry of Education, National Science Funds for Distinguished Young Scholar, Trans-Century Training Program Foundation for the Talents, New Century Excellent Talents in University, National Award for Distinguished Teacher, National Outstanding Doctoral Dissertations.

We have undertaken and completed over 60 projects in the programs such as Hi-Tech Research and Development Program of China (863 program), National Basic Research Program of China (973 program), Key Technologies R&D Program, Major Scientific And Technological Projects, National Science Fund of China Program, and international cooperation projects. We have published more than 100 international journal papers and 9 books, received 8 national and provincial awards of scientific and technology progress, and have been authorized 12 National Invention Patents.
