Wei Yang

YANG Wei is a Professor of Solid Mechanics in the Department of Engineering Mechanics, he is specialized in the field of Failure Mechanics.

His current research topics include: combined microscopic and macroscopic fracture mechanics, failure mechanics for micro-electronic devices, toughening of structural materials, and design of microsatellites and composite lattice materials. He has been very active in the international research collaborations.
His distinguished education career earned him the National Excellent Teacher Award in 1993. He received the Award of Ten Best Teachers from the city of Beijing in the same year.

He has written 3 monographs and edited 7 books, and published over 240 technical papers.
