iTalk to the World: Embrace Changes

This iTalk event, themed "Embrace Changes," invites four guest speakers to share their experiences and insights with the new students. They will narrate their stories of how they embraced change, found their goals, and overcame personal obstacles, inspiring fellow students to contemplate how they can shoulder the responsibilities and missions of today's youth.

Nayan Kumar Chowdhury

  • From Bangladesh

  • Master's student of the 23rd class at School of Vehicle and Mobility

Recipient of Beijing Municipal Government Scholarship, Beijing Municipal Government Outstanding International Student Award (3 times), and Chinese Government Scholarship. An associate member of the Bangladesh-China Youth Students Association;proficient in 5 languages; a professional singer who has participated in numerous domestic and international television programs, and organized cultural events at the Bangladesh Embassy and the Indian Embassy in Beijing. Skilled in playing more than 5 musical instruments; favorite hobbies include traveling and watching movies.

Phatham Loahavilai

  • From Thailand

  • 23rd class of Ph.D. students in the Department of Precision Instruments

Previously held a summer internship position at the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN). From January 2022 to May 2023, worked at the Sirindhorn International Institute of Technology (SIIT), Thammasat University, Thailand, as a laboratory lecturer and laboratory assistant.

Amanda Kusuma Wardhani 

  • From Indonesia

  • Master's student of the 22nd class at the School of Journalism and Communication (Global Business Journalism Program)

Worked as a journalist at Bisnis Indonesia from September 2013 to September 2022 and got promoted as Content Manager in 2020. Had experience as Presidential Palace journalist for two years. Recipient of the ASEAN-China Young Leader Scholarship. Enjoys cooking and traveling.

Stephanie Fallas

  • From Costa Rica

  • Master's student at the School of Journalism and Communication

In 2018, I came to Beijing to immerse myself in Chinese culture and pursue a master's degree. Since then, I have fallen in love with China. Now, I am in the second year of my degree and back in Beijing.
